About the SAG

The Scottish Astronomers' Group can trace its roots back to 1968 and was set up to encourage practical astronomical observing of the night sky using simple equipment for all with an interest in astronomy.

The Group is a forum for astronomical societies and individuals across Scotland where ideas, information and observations can be exchanged.

The Scottish Astronomers' Group welcomes contributions from all observers no matter what their area on interest or level of experience.

The Group has recently undergone a major re-organisation building on previous developments and now making full use of the internet.

To take part please register on the forum and get involved!
